The Office for National Statistics actually measures our happiness, which is nice of them. And guess what, London’s least happy borough – Islington – scores just as poorly as St Albans.  Both of them are cheerier than the Home Counties’ historic commuter towns, Canterbury and Runnymede. 15 in a bed and the little one said…

We went to a wedding on Friday. It was nice. Mostly because we were able to palm the boy off onto the “dizzy ducks“. Our only disappointment was that they weren’t actual ducks, or even people dressed as ducks, but just normal humans in normal human clothing. They weren’t even dizzy.
